Big Makeover Reveal! ::: 08.29.09

Who doesn't love a good "Before & After" blog post? =)

A few months ago, my friend and coworker Corrie entered a "Win a Makeover" contest sponsored by Shore Publishing. Since I always have a camera strapped to my face, she asked if I had any good photos she could submit, since I had taken a few recently. They needed a full length shot, for which all I had was one of her in the background of a photo I took of one of her chickens, and a "family" photo of her with her husband and pooches.

She also asked if I'd submit a testimonial, which I was more than happy to do. And it turned out, she WON!!!!

So behold, the before...

And this Saturday was the Big Reveal, held at Gabrielle's Restaurant in Centerbrook, CT. Is she not ADORABLE?

This was actually the first pic I took as she turned the corner, and I was not at all prepared. Wrong settings galore... but I had to act quickly. I still love the moment.

Waving to her admirers!

It all happened so quickly, but one of my other friends and coworkers happened to walk in about two seconds after Corrie's entrance. Her reaction was priceless.

Posing with her story board...

Doesn't she look like she just won a beauty pageant? Hahaha...

So happy!

Many thanks to all of the sponsors who helped Corrie rock her new look! Shoreline Health & Fitness, Salon Fusion, Gabrielle's, North Shore Tanning Salon, Essex Family Dentistry, Arabella, The Spa of Essex, Ella: Where She Shops, Anna Mia's, and of course, Shore Publishing.

Congratulations Corrie! It was an honor to be a part of such a fun experience!!!! XOXO

Pooch Portraits ::: Max & Betty ::: 08.23.09

I love small town America. The wonderful pet food shop where I buy Grover's food displays my book and business card. I was contacted by Max & Betty's dad to take some pooch pics after he flipped through "It's Not Over 'Til It's Grover." Of course, I was MORE than happy to oblige.

Max was the BIGGEST shepherd (a Shiloh Shepherd to be exact) I have ever seen. He was absolutely enormous... but such a gentle giant. And Betty was his little spitfire Corgi sister. I had such a blast spending the afternoon with them... as I'm sure you'll be able to tell from the upcoming onslaught of photos!

We spent a little time inside just letting Max get used to my presence. He wasn't too sure about my camera.

Betty on the other hand... no warming up necessary.

And out we went for lots and lots of romping! I'm pretty sure these tell the story pretty well. =)

Ahhh... some down time.

Sweet face.

Schnoz.

Doesn't get more regal than this!

Happy boy!

L'il Miss 'Tude.

JACKPOT!

Buh-bye! =)

Thank you so much for having me over Katherine and Ralph!!! Smooches to Max and Betty.

Wedding ::: 08.01.09 ::: Stamford Yacht Club

A couple weekends ago, I joined the crazy talented Amanda of Orchard Cove Photography for Jessie and Joe's wedding. Such a great day. HOT and HUMID... but it didn't matter. It was a terrific day!!!

Here are a few of my favorites from the day. =)

Isn't Jessie too cute? I couldn't resist...

Everyone everywhere was so calm, cool, and collected.

Beautiful St. Roch Church in Greenwich.

Awww!

The girls were just too cute.

We did portraits at a friend's house down on the water... stunning location.

Super cute place cards carrying the green and yellow theme...

Or should I say "lemon and lime"?

The gorgeous Stamford Yacht Club...

"Sunny" grapes!

Yum.

I've never been to a wedding with a fresh made sushi station before!

Cue the Mission Impossible music! Dun-dun-da-da-dun-dun... look closely... can you see the stealth photographer?

Yes, Amanda Herzberger... gettin' the job done!

Everyone look up at Amanda!!!

Heading back inside...

The new Mr. & Mrs.!

I still get choked up during parents dances. So sweet.

Honorary bridesmaids? No, just the same incredible taste in dresses! =) Too cute!

Honorary groomsmen? No, just the same taste in dress shirts! Hee hee!
